Fitness giant Nautilus has issued a recall for over 78,000 Bowflex Ultimate 2 home gyms. Safety concerns arose after the company received 18 reports of injury due to seats coming unlatched. Some of the injuries involved head and shoulder lacerations.
Nautilus previously recalled 68,000 of the same model in December 2007 after receiving reports of three injuries. The Consumer Product Safety Commission reported that the seat of the gym has unattached and fails. Risks of injury to users precipitated the recall. Vancouver, Wash.-based Nautilus Inc. is sending repair kits to registered owners.
